fuel problem?
Hey people,
so recently my gas meter has been going crazy. Ill be driving and it will go from full to below empty. I know that a little variation is common when driving due to the movement of the gas in the tank but going from FULL to EMPTY is kinda odd. Also, when I stop after driving for a little while, the gas goes up then sometimes starts going down then bobs up and down and settles until i start moving again... any ideass?.. also it usually stays at full RIGHT after i fill up but once i use a gallon or 2 it goes crazy again.. roar its really f'n annoying cuz ill be driving and itll say empty and ill go get gas and only manage to get 2 gallons...
HELP thnx

That or your cluster is going bad but try what he said first. Check for loose wires by you fuel guage unit

Re: fuel problem? (w0ng_sta)
Usually the contacts get a little messed up and send the gage all kinds of readings. The contacts are a variable resistor, so if you read the voltage on the wire coming out of the sender to the gage, and the voltage changes with the change on the gage, its your sender.
