you must be in vtec at all times or something because that's really low. either that or something is wrong with your car.

Re: TSX GAS MILAGE (importrule)
I got mine down to 14.9 mpg, but I am an extremely worst case scenario (only city driving, no highway, red light the whole route, many small trips). If I go on road trips, though, I get like 34 mpg or so. (both done via my own calculations, not MID)
CBL: the ratings are done under laboratory conditions and averaged out. Not many people drive at the same ambient air temperature, tire pressure, incline of the road, etc. Depending on how you drive, many TSX owners have been able to get 500 miles out of one tank. The TSX is supposedly more aerodynamic than the NSX, so it cuts through the air like butter. Keep it at the perfect speed range, and your car will become extremely fuel efficient. It's the small trips that hurt....long highway miles make the TSX shine.

Are you sure you're driving a TSX?
My automatic CR-V gets better mileage than that.
You're sure it's not a TL or something?

That's not how you calculate average fuel economy. It has nothing to do with tank capacity.
You fill the tank until the pump shuts off, then reset the trip odometer. Drive. Now refill the tank until the pump shuts off, and note the amount of fuel purchased on the pump. Divide miles driven by amount of fuel pumped. There's your average mileage for that particular trip/tank.

Re: TSX GAS MILAGE (boongley29)
How are you people getting 500 miles to a tank? I get roughly 300-380 miles to a tank. So i figure im average around 21-25mpg thats with my lead foot most of the time. But if a p*ssy foot it i get ~350

Re: TSX GAS MILAGE (boongley29)
i noticed mines is pretty bad, but i think its because it im using 94 octane... but when i picked up the car last friday, i filled it to half a tank with 91, and i got around 400KM, thats around 248 Miles, and i was driving back home in traffic. but i put in 94 octane on monday, and im at half a tank today (thursday) so far ive dont 300 KM, (186 miles) at half, and because i push a lil too. but i dive in 6 gear like all the time. but i hear using 91 octane last long than 94. but use 94 once in a while to clean the engine

Re: TSX GAS MILAGE (evertp1)
theoretically your gas mileage shouldnt change between 91 and 94 octane. the higher map for the TSX should be like other Hondas (set for 91) the only difference is your emissions will contain more hydro-carbons (unburn fuel) so in a sense, you are just flushing money down the toilet on 94. We cant get 91 in MD so I often times mix 87 and 93 together to make 91 and I notice no difference in performance or mileage whatsoever.
