****NEED HELP WITH MY SWAP ASAP****
Hey.. I just dropped b16b into my 98 ek using my stock harness(wired vtec and knock sensor)......
but i have few problems.. that i have no idea how to fix...
first and i think most major problem is that the motor would rev over 7000 rpm(running on ek9-2 ecu)...
and other problem is that the idle keeps teetering up and down when i rev high
and let go of the gas.. the rev sits at 1500 and starts teetering up and down....
please help me out.. im in serious need of help.. i got to get this motor running
correctly by end of this week... thanks for lookin and helping me out!!!

That should be the last thing you touch when having an idling problem. There's obviously another problem here, and needs to be fixed before the idle screw is adjusted.

well he has already been told to check for vacuum leaks, iac valve, and then i said idle screw. so therefore that would be the last thing that he would check.

not in all cases, that could be the problem but you should check for vacuum leaks, with the motor cold and running spray something like brakecleaner around the intake manifold and see if the engine stumbles.
I would guess that you have a check engine light? Certain code that the car throws will limit rpm depending on how severe they are,the obd-2 system seems to be the worst for this.
