Default how strong is an auto tranny?

i only bought the auto cause i ran across a killer deal on the car and there is little to nothing wrong with this car. i am wanting to boost her in the near future after i take care of some simple mods while i wait for cash. is it safe to boost on an auto tranny? or should i swap out for a 5 speed and then boost next summer?

another thought i had .... how good is the JRSC or Vortech for the integra? because a lot of cars are factory supercharged and automatics. and ive known a few speedsters with auto SCs.

help me out guys, i want boost, but ive got an auto

superchargers are good for automatics because they spool up real quick and dont need to get into the high rpms. since the auto tranny shifts at about 3 - 4 grand which is enough for the super charger to give u a good increase of hp. turbos need higher rpms which an auto matic cant give u unless u shift ur self. id say supercharger

there as strong as a fat chick trying to stand on toothpicks..

if your goin to go boost, any types of boost, your going to want a 5spd to have control of it, or a built auto trans. cuz the stock auto trans suck ***.. there very weak and made for gas conservation and etc.. so even with a supercharger on it, you'r still goin to be slower then a teg with the same setup, 5spd..

In the end though i decided to convert to 5spd. Not being able to launch really sucked during a race

how hard is it to convert? and what all would i need? i mean the obvious ... tranny, pedal, but do i have to do anything to my ECU or anything or the sort?

is there a write-up anywhere around here? i keep using the search but its not giving me .... tech tips i guess you could say.
