What's the weakest part of the auto tranny for boost?
What does boost do to an auto tranny first? Does anyone know any specs on how much power that Honda auto tranny's are supposed to be able to take?

i know that the torque converters are kinda weak, line oressure is low and the clutch pack assembly isnt strong enough for lots of torque, but they do make replacement parts for all of these.
i know i have seen an EX-sohc coupe spray a 75 shot on his auto tranny tho, and it worked well

From what I have read, (no personal experience), the Honda autos do not hold up well even with mild power increases. Makes me think of the power levels the auto nsx has compared to the manual. Perhaps even Honds knows of the "weakness" with the auto system.

Its the valvebodies, which no one makes replacement parts for last time I checked, in other words the upgrade kits available aren't totally worth it.
I daily drove my coupe when it was automatic and turbo. It was fine as long as you don't go too crazy, however I would have a long term plan to either swap or have a spare.
Here's a link to a recent thread that is pretty good. Has quite a few guys, including myself, giving their experiences with turbocharging an automatic transmission honda. https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1477108
