Default Stock block question...

Quick question

what psi are you guys running on your stock b16's ???

I have a b16a2 with itr valvetrain and rc 440cc injectors... whats the max safe psi you guys would take it to and redline ?

psi is irrelevant, hp is what matters and i would aim for about 280-300whp with a good tune.

Yes. But that would never happen. Its all about mass flow. A t25 10 at psi will create say 230whp. A t67 @ 10psi will create 300whp. These are just estimates not facts.

the amount of torque (horsepower) will determine how long the motor lasts. Power creates heat, more power = more heat = harder on engine.

its not the air being forced into the motor that hurts it, its the combustion pressure from the increased density of the air.

with your turbo you could probably run around 12-13 psi before you reach a power limit...your injectors will probably hold you up a bit aswell as the stock map sensor as it only is good till 11 psi..
so id put a cap on it at 10 psi and leave the car alone!

map sensor is being replaced with gm 3 bar....

i think im going to run 12 psi
