high hp stock sleeved guys, block guard or no?
friend nuked #4, has a t3-t4 drag kit, gsr, going with forged internals. i shot jeff evans an email but i know he is a busy man. i think i remember him posting about not using a block guard, but i need a definitive answer. may see 15 psi, probably will be tuned with neptune, or crome. havent decided. if neptune, jeff will most likely be doing the tuning because of his knowledge of stock sleeves. thanks in advance.

IMO, stock sleeves without a block guard can support more than if you were to run one. I have not had good luck with them nor will I ever use one again.

Pretty good man and you? If I ever get this car together I'll be up there to use your guys' dyno. I saw that you got your car together, how is that going? Any numbers yet? Take it easy. Later.

Im running 15psi with same turbo that your buddy blew his motor with on my stock B20 daily driven. It'll hold if you tune it good enough and take care of it. BTW its not about how many psi the motor it can take, thats not a very acurate way of measuring how much the motor can handle.... Joseph Davis once said that the measuring stick should be the motors safety and power output.... Id have to agree...

I know most people see as a getto mod, but ever consider pinning/posting? There's a reason you see the endyne article with posts in their b20. It's obviously for a more extreme circumstance (very thin walls, egging easily), but if they trust it on a motor you can see MANY hours had gone into, it can't be an unsafe practice.
I agree that the psi ceiling isn't what you should look at. As long as the turbo is within it's effeciency range, it's the horsepower & tune that matter.
BTW, wasn't there a 450whp b18 with all stock bottom on here recently?
