ANYONE KNOW ABOUT T04X TURBO???
The T04X is the largest compressor wheel in the family. For cheaper you can probably go with a 60-1 turbo which should out flow any T04, but like I said "should".

Art,
Rather a newbie here.... lotsa gumption, little brains. My DRAG kit came with a T04X (don't ask)
I am putting this on my CRVTEC setup with 10.0:1 compression, CTR cams,ITR intake.RC 310 c.c.
Dynoed 178 w.h.p. 133 f.p.t. before installation of turbo. I plan on HKS EVC IV, APEX V-AFC, maybe 94-95 GSR ECU.( Mine is a G2 GSR)
What would you expect this to run with say 8 p.s.i.?
TIA

I dont understand how your drag manifold can bolt up with a T4. The drag manifold can only use a T3 turbine housing. Do you have a T3/T04X? Now, this is just an assumption about how much power you can have. Since the CRV has 10% larger displacement than a Gsr, and I made 277whp, I think you will be over the 300whp+. 304whp or more is what I would expect at 8psi, maybe way more. What do I know?...lol

all I know is that it's freakin' $850+!!!!!!!!!! Plus, XS are kinda secretive about the t04x and the t3/t04x, at least they are on their site.

I had to do a little modification in the block area to fit the T04X. I am going to spend the day hooking up my HKS EVC IV and maybe feel some of this monster's power. Are new TIAL wastegates supposed to come with different pressure springs or not?
Ray.....sssshhhhhhhh

I will be the first one to say I am a newbie!
Ray, there is a provision on the bottom of my throttle body that I just attached back to the charcoal canister. Can I use thisfor a map sensor? How would I go about attaching one?
Oh yeah, It is definitely a T04X. Part of the block had to be shaved to fit the damn thing in there...

From what I hear a TO4X is basically XS terminology for a custom turbo. They have a questionaire you fill out about what your setup is and what you like you power band to be, and they go from there. They are real secretive about their stuff and grind off part numbers on their turbos. One time I tried to call them about a turbo I purchased, and they said they didn't even know what was inside because they don't keep files.
Lots of people gripe about this.

my boy actually got a new drag kit with a t3/to4x in it. i hear it definitely is the biggest one in the family and should be able to flow real good. since it's new, i wonder how it'll function.
