largest turbo to bolt to DRAG manifold
i am considering getting a larger turbo to replace my t3/t04E that came with my DRAG kit. I am up to 20psi of boost and im told that the turbo is not working as efficient and I should consider upgrading. I hear a lot of talk about a 60-1 will this do the trick or is there something else that I could consider.

The Drag Manifold has a T3 Flange welded onto it! What are the specs on your turbo? A T3/T04E can easily produce 500+ whp! If you aren't making those numbers and you don't have the largest T3/T04E, then you aren't running out of turbo. The largest T3/T04E you can get would be as follows:
T3
.82 Housing (Extrude Honed)
Stage V Turbine
T04E
60 trim
.60 AR
This turbo will EASILY produce 500+ hp with the right motor & Fuel Management!

Only a turbo with a T3 exhaust side will bolt to that manifold. See if you can have your T3/T04E upgraded.

So you think my turbo is good enough. i have a downpipe from Art on the way and im getting the HP manifold as soon as it is released so that may help. i was just curious how much more i can expect with this particular turbo. I guess ill turn up the boost some more. I seem to be stuck at mid 11s.

What are the specs of your turbo? Like I said, you can upgrade to a larger T3/T04E and the only way you will run out of turbo is if you are producing more than 500+ whp!

Thanks Val, Im trying to hang with my buddies and their nitrous injected 5.0's and im seeming to loose my edge. Half of them have stroked to a 347 and they are right on my heels.

What engine do you have? I already have an HP intake manifold for my GSR head, afaik you can already get them.

Do what APEXSER said. Take your T04E/T3 54 trim w/ Stage 3 .63 A/R and upgrade it to a <u>T04E/T3 60 trim w/ Stage 3 .82 A/R</u>. This turbo definitely can support over 500hp.

I disagree. I would actually consider getting a stage V wheel, in an 82 housing with a to4b 60-1 compressor inside of a 60a/r housing.
the to4e 60 trim is good but not enough. the 60-1 will outflow it.

Isnt the DRAG manifold deisgn a restriction itself at this point?
Maybe upgrade to a different manifold before upgrading the turbo?
