My engine whistles in 1st and 2nd gear between 2000, and 3500 RPM's, adny ideas? also my car vibrates a little bit, only in 2nd gear between 2000, and 4000 Rpm's. Any ideas what it might tranny?? i have no idea.

Could be a leaky intake making it whistle. For the vibration i would check the alignment and wheel bearings.

 

could it be the tranny, cuz it only vibrates in 2nd gear

 

It could be the trans but I would check the other stuff first.

 

I have the same whistle problem, it is my throttle body making the noise and i can't get it to stop. I took my throttle body apart last night and cleaned it and it still does it. I would love to find out how to stop this...Matt

 

hey PM'd... same problem need help with whistling. i noted what i was playing around with also.

 

your engine vibration could be your front engine mount (or other mounts but most likely your front) broken or worn down. if it is, you have three choices:

1) get a new motor mount and put it in.
2) get a energy suspension polyurethane insert and put it in with the broken motor mount
3) get new motor mount AND polyurethane insert

***note if you use the insert, be prepared for a muscle car rumble... it does vibrate the interior.... but only at idle (anything above 900 rpm its smooth as silk) plus you get better launches and a faster response
