motor shakes?
ok..i searched but didnt find anything close to my explanation of my problem. any help would be appreciated. thanks!
problem: im driving in 1st gear (low mph offcourse) and whenever i suddenly release the gas pedal, i hear a knocking sound from the enginge. feels like the engine jumps forward. this happens as well in 2nd gear but not at all in 3rd, 4th, etc. (or maybe it does but very very little). the only way to stop the shaking of the engine is wen i quickly press on the clutch. lets say im driving in 1st gear and i release the gas pedal but quickly hold the clutch pedal in, thats when i dont feel or hear the engine shake.
cause: i know for a fact that it could be my mounts (torque, tranny mount, etc.) but i was hoping that the explanation of my problem could narrow down wich mount it is or wat not.
i was thinking it could be the tranny mount or one of the torque mounts in the passenger side and drivers side of the engine. would any of these be hard to replace? and would inserts solve the problem instead of replacing the whole thing? and how hard would it be to install inserts?
wow..long post i know...but my main concern is fixing the problem the first time. i know replacing all mounts would probably be an ideal answer...but im low on time and budget.. thank you all!

Your description doesn't really narrow it down to one particular mount. But you should be able to ID the bad one by inspecting. Try grabbing the valve cover & shaking the engine to duplicate the sound. Then your head will be right there & you can hear the location better.
If any of the mounts are bad enough for this to happen, they are all aged to the point of needing help.
Get a new set.
Get motor mount inserts.
Fill your toque mounts with polyurethane.
etc.
There are a ton of easy ways to work around this. But you will definitely have to get in there and work. There is not one specific mount that is notorious for making noise.
