Sup guys.. I have some questions for you guys... I am trying to install a 98 gsr motor into my 95 eg... I want to get it Bar'd here in CA...
*Wonderingis it possible to convert there obd1 car to obd2 ?

*In the OBD2 integra, the gas tank has a evap sensor, would that prove to be a problem to change to OBD2?

*Does anyone have any instructions of changing the whole in dash harness to work in the stock eg center console?

*Would it be easier and possible to convert everything to obd1 even with the VIN# there on the block?

Any help guys would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

i actually have but nothing for passing the BAR in CA...I just need the run down and things like that. I got some info on how to do it but I just want to see if anyone is gonna say the same so that I could be assured that it will be okay...

Also, cant the Vin # tell the year and make of a motor?....

 

Here in texas they dont care if it is a 2000 motor in a 95 car it is still a 95 civic. Period.

But the info he is looking for is dealing with California BAR.

i have searched on this too and couldnt find anything about it....only thing i found was that shops make obdI- II jumpers but i couldnt find anything about the diagnostic port....

anyways bump for more information..

 

The diagnostic port is one of many things in my way of getting this thing bar'd... I have already purchased the whole in dash harness and stuff like that...but now i have figured out that it is really difficult to convert over all the wires to make it still work in a eg center console...I would like to also hear on other members baring it with an newer motor converted into obd1----&gt;(obd2 to obd1)....
