boost controller and wastegate spring question
I am about to get an electronic boost controller, and I have been running a 7psi spring in my Tial 38mm since I put my turbo kit on a few months ago. I dont know what kind of spring I should put in it now, I want to run like 11psi max, because I upgraded the fuel system, and its on a B18B1 with its low *** compression. Does anyone know what kind of spring I should get, or does it matter?
since your runing 7psi of just the spring you probably have a seven pound spring 11 should be no problem with that spring once you get your boost controler
you should just be able to swap out the spring on the tial. only 35$ for a new spring

Your Boost controller can only turn down boost depending on what size spring you have in the WG. So that means if you have a 11lb spring, you CANT turn it down to 7lbs, you can only turn it down to 11lbs.
So if 7lbs is the lowest you think you will be boosting then you are fine...dont waste money on a new spring.

Alright thanks, I didnt know if the boost controller could only turn boost down from the spring size I have or up from it. I get it now, I'll just keep my 7psi spring in there.
