Default WG spring question

Alright.. I am a lil confused so bare with me. When you get a spring, say a 5 psi spring or what ever, and buy a boost controller. How much can you turn the boost up to? Is there a limit ?

Ive asked this very question. I was told about double the rate of your spring before its recommended to get a bigger spring.

the WG spring is only there as a safety backup basically. If you have no other means of boost control, the spring will limit boost. A boost controller comes in by intercepting the signal to the WG, and untill the new user defined boost limit is reached at the boost controller, the WG will not open. The only thing that will limit you then is the size and ammount of airflow the turbo can handle
