you have to get a lower spring.. the spring controls the minimum pressure the w/g will open at

The lowest amount of boost will be 9psi. The highest amount of boost will depend on which wastegate you have.

WHAT?? i thought the spring on the wastegate dictated the max amount of boost not the minimum.....so if i get a boost controller to boost less than the spring i need to get a new spring?

Yep, the spring dictates the MINIMUM boost amount of the wastegate. If you want to boost lower than the spring rating, you have to get a new softer spring. Peace.

Because he already has the friggen wastegate! What? You want him to buy a whole new wastegate? Now that would be foolish!

Well, when you start boosting high 20-30 psi. running a low psi spring will have more boost fluctuations. You can't really tell by the naked eye, but with data logging you can tell.
