If the motor and such isnt even together try to ask to remove the head and see how the walls and pistons look.
I heard you could do a compression check outside of the car but i dont know how, sorry.

First pull of the valve cover see how much build up is there, then if you can pop of the water pump see if it comes off easy and if there are no shavings inside the passages.
In what condition do I expect to see when I open the valve cover and the head??
the owner claim he never have the chance to swap the motor ( from hmotoronline) into his car!!
What about the tranny?? how would I know if its bad or good without shifting in a car??

For the tranny, check the input shaft / throwout bearing / disc / pressure plate for signs of abuse or neglect.

you can do a compression test on the motor even if its out of the car.
you are going to have to olt the tranny back onto themotor though. after you do that out the starter back in. make sure theres some oil in the pan, take all the spark plugs out, havesomeone hold the throtte open, and then add power and gounnd to the starter. let the motor crank over about 5-6 times with the compression tester in the first cylinder. get the readings and move on to the next cylinder and repeat with throttle plate open.
good luck

pull the head, adn look for cracks in the sleeves or rust. also check for water inside. you know it might sound crazy but my buddy had water in his ****. wasnt pretty. check pistons.
