Default Swap Help - L@@K

I recently swapped a JDM B18C (Type eeeR) into my 97 Civic DX. I notice that inside the car (when driving @ high speeds) it feels like a damn steam room (ITS H0T)! The car doesnt overheat (stock dX cooling equipment). I also have noticed that my engine bay is HELLA HOT (hotter than normal) when car is warmed up. I have JASMA header w/ carsound cat and custom piping to magnaflow oval exhaust ... so my Q is :

1) Why does it feel so hot inside the c0ckpit? Does it have to do w/ my piping?

2) Would switching to a bigger cooling system cool down my car as a whole (IE Inside bay and inside) and what are some CHEAP alternatives?

Thanks .....

you could always get a higher cfm fan from advance auto parts for like 50 bux and it will keep your engine bay a lot cooler that the stock one

if you have carpet and stuff like that removed you will feel more heat, that and you now have a larger engine sitting closer to the firewall so it gets hotter faster

it could just be an exhaust leak....... the header exit is terrible when it comes to leaking.....

When you're driving & notice the heat, put your hand by your e-brake and see if you feel heat from there. When I supercharged my car, I noticed heat would just pour in from the e-brake. There wasn't anything I could really do about it, except get rid of the SC, which I did. Now my car is cool as a cucumber! (slow, though)

I'm also curious if the heatshields are still there?
