Default Engine Heat

Can you cool your engine/engine bay down by running the heat inside the cabin?

It works to a point. How you get heat into your car is from a little radiator called the heater core. Coolant is routed through this, so if you put it to full heat and blast it, it 'may' help.

Yes, i used to have an old 89 plymouth sundance, and it overheated constantly. I used to run the heat full blast in traffic and it would lower the engine temp. It sucks though when you live in the south and it's summertime.
