Default Tial Wastegate Missing the Screw/Bolt in the Top of It - a Few Questions...

Sorry to sound like a dumbass, but I'm trying to help a customer out here.

He brought his Integra in with a pretty bad oil leak, and upon inspecting the Tial wastegate I noticed that there is no screw and spring in the top of the gate.

My question are:

1. Where can I find a bolt/screw to replace this mssing one?

2. What will the effects be by not having the screw/spring in place?

I'm assuming that it will not boost as much? Help me out here please, as i am more of an N/A stock engine guy.

TIA.

Unless he's running an electronic boost controler, he doesn't need it. I have a manual boost controller on mine, and it's attatched to the fitting on the side, and I don't even have the top fitting installed, as it hit my hood, espescially under heard shifting.

Yes I believe he has a manual Turbo XS boost controller. It's blue and it sits close to the wastegate.

So he's okay, right?

corect. tial wastegates dont use the top port unless he is running a electronic boost controller. if he is using a manual one or just boosting off the spring then it is to be left open.

if he wants to use it then all hee needs a 1/8th fitting from homedepot or lowes or ace hardware. and you can use one that is 1/8 on one side and a nipple on the other for a vacuum line but dont plug it up just leave it open

as long as he has the side port of the wastegate going to the manual one then he is ok

I didnt think 1/8" NPT was the right size? Isnt 1/8" NPT somethin like 27 threads per inch, and the correct sized one 24 threads or somethin? I tried so so so many times to find a screw that fit and none of the 1/8" fit. I ended up retapping it to my liking.
