Yeah, NA is safer...but if you supercharge it and you wear a helmet it'll be just as safe

In all seriousness...a Vortech Supercharger is a good bet...bolt on 125 HP Also, go into The All Motor and Forced Induction Forums and check things out.

Just know this...pick two...cheap, fast, reliable

A good, reliable NA build is just as good as a good, solid turbo build...the turbo is faster but the NA is more reliable...you'll have to choose

Ya I myself am considering the Vortech supercharger for my Del Sol VTEC (B16A3). Maybe xmas... NA is cool n' all, but in Cali, its hard to pass CA emissions with performance cams, rods, pistons, etc...

i would go with the vortec...it's a cross between a turbo and supercharger. you get the reliability and instant power of a supercharger...and the hp of a turbo.

well since you got a b16 i say go turbo, but its all depends on the way you drive your car or how much you drive your car. the decision is yours. the best thing to do is talk to people who have different set ups such as na and fi. do some research and you well find the anwser yourself

you guys are right vortech will give you big hp numbers, but it's all top end. the vortech sc powerband is directly linked with engine rpm... look at dyno charts, it's almost like a 45degree line. that means big hp numbers, but none of it's useful. it's like shooting nitrous right before you redline. also vortech is not very good for street driving. it's constantly spooling... for the money spend it on a good turbo set up, you won't spool until you want to, you'll boost much faster, and the powerband is much more usable. use the search... i'd say like 80% of HT is anti vortech/centrifugal sc... and there's a reason for it.
