SI forced induction

my boy just bought an si. He wants to do a Vortec blower. what's better (faster), turbo or Vortec? What brand turbo??? he's not doing internals just all bolt-on's.

I saw a Vortech setup on a late model si this last weekend.
It apparently runs well, but was told the plumbing for the "aftercooler" was a *^#$@#@ to install.

I saw a Vortech Si with 253 to the wheels pulling 14.1@101mph. Awesome topend, but the low- and mid-range is not the bomb. I say turbo.

I agree, I think turbo has the edge on the Vortech setup. Although I imagine the vortech would involve fewer cooling problems if you're in hot weather like I am.
