compression test results before i buy my turbo....how am i?

Default compression test results before i buy my turbo....how am i?

B18b1 in my 1994 Acura integra LS

From right to left. 1=185psi 2=180+ 3= 175+ 4=185

Am i good to go?

One thing is when i was taking out my spark plugs...in what i number as #3...the spark plug was oily thus i know im running rich. anything i can do about it?

actually if the plug was oily you MAY have a small oil leak from your valves. if you wanted to change your valve seals that would fix it. As for the compression is say go for it. Those numbers are a little bit higher than a ls that we boosted and made 282hp out of.

<<<ignorant at cars but trying to learn. how would i go about changing my valve seals. its not a bad leak in the least but i might as well fix it if its easy. you can post the instructions or just drop an email at sta1173@rcn.com or an AIM at billab2ong

if i were you and didnt have alot of experience with engines i would just leave it. I wont hurt any thing. How much oil does your car burn? If it doesnt even get low during your oil changes i wouldnt even worry.

i refill my oil about a qt. after 3-4 trips to the gas station for a fillup. Which is just about everymonth. i dont mind adding the oil........

Adding any amount of oil in between oil changes is too much...

Fix any and all problems before boosting.

a quart every 1000 miles is not within tolerances, i would take it to an experienced shop and have them take a look at it.
