do a compression test...
if your numbers are low, put some oil in the combustion chambers and do the test again....
if the numbers are still low, it's your valve seals, if your numbers are higher then it's your rings...
you want it to be your valve seals though...good luck...

Yea, I'm doing compression and leak down tests soon just for kicks. This motor will be coming out in the spring, so if it's rings or seals, they'll be replaced anyway. Thanks for the replies.

i agree with him i bet it is the tube seals if it is on the threads then that is most likely the problem
