Default Possible Theif.... Need you help!

Today I went out to lunch with my girl and a friend. We took his car and I didnt notice anything wrong with me car untill I came back. Someone stole my driverside fender lining off and now I feel there is a possible threat to the car now that there is access to the hood cable. Does anyone have any idea on how I can protect myself untill I get a new fender lining? TIA!

**BTW**
My other car already got stolen a week ago and I hate to loose another one. I have an autoloc and pager alarm on my crx.

Well....if you really wanna make your / anyone else' life misserable, open the hood, unbolt the hood latch, disconnect the cable. Make sure to install soemthing taht you can reach from under the car to open the latch.

This will be a real pain to anyone...since the hood cable wont do dick all.

Just an idea....not a great one...but it will work.

Anothyer idea is locking hood pins

This is quite extreme, but you ever see those wheel locks the cops put on your wheel when you park illegally in manhattan? You can buy those somewhere I am sure... It's pretty hard to lift the car then...pain in the azz to carry around witcha tho...

You can reroute your hood latch cable through the firewall instead or having it right by the fender and such. I'm not sure which opening you would run it through, probably the gas pedal or clutch pedal opening. Try searching because I know there was a good thread on this a couple months or so back.

I rerouted my hood latch cable. IT's all under the hood and the front , right by the latch is so tucked in that there is no way in hell that even a migit will open it.
Do the search and you'll find ho w to do it.
HTH
PS> I also shaved my handles. I use the LX 90 rear ones. Very nice!

http://www.jegs.com sells locking hood pins, i used to have a set, they were nice, you just have to keep them lubed with penetrating oil so they will not rust and get hard to use.

All of you dont even know me. I would never waste my damn time to spray a ****** head. Why dont all of you read the guys complaint post and read mine. I already offered him a deal and I'm sick of explaining myself to anyone. If you dont take the time to read both sides of the story why dont you all mind your own business and keep your stupid comments to yourselves? Get your **** straight before you say anything.
