Hmm, seems a lot of people are posting scam/bad seller alerts today..

Here's mine:

Alex was selling lots of stuff here, had a good vouch thread, too.

Sold me a 'Ported and Polished B18B head, never installed yet/not used'

what I got was a used B18b head, which had been clean/bead blasted(still FULL of glass beads in the valves/springs, etc), and spray painted with aluminum colored paint in the ports, so it looked good in photos. It ISN'T ported, its stock, btw. Under that paint, there is carbon buildup.

All the caps were stuffed in an envelope, too, so a few are scratched up where you can feel the scratch on the journal surface.

Since I im'd him about it, and he denied any wrongdoing 2 weeks ago, he hasn't been back to honda-tech, or responded to emails of the detailed pictures I sent of this junk.

I hoped with all the vouchs, he'd be a quality guy, looks like a dirty scammer..

i feel you on that one. has anyone noticed the number of "i just got scammed" threads, click on them, and they all calm that the seller had a good vouch thread.

ok, i did leave the country to go on vaccation. I left for one month. Had no access to a computer and so I couldnt view honda-tech or access e-mail. On top of that, the day I returned, one of my cars got stolen and stripped and now I'm starting my body work for my crx so that is the reason I havent been on honda-tech. As far as the head, I dont know what this guy is trying to pull. The pics I had up on my for-sale thread were the same pics as the head. I didnt try to scam anyone. The reason I am replying to this thread is because this guy threatened to screw up my reputation on Honda-tech. I've never ripped anyone off and dont plan on doing it. This guy had the head now for awhile and obviously he probably used it or something. He said it was used and it was stock. Well, I bought the head from dh-racing and thats the exact same head I sold him. I was even generous to throw in the cams and cam gears, brand new headgasket, and valve cover. Anyway he gave me $375 and bumper lights for my crx that were cracked up. He also gave me sidemarkers that had all the mounting holes broken off. All the caps were stuffed in an envelope are not whats with the head. They dont sell complete heads. I had to get used ones and I also gave those to him for free. Maybe he could've used it or maybe not. This guy didnt have a complaint about the head since I sold it to him and after over a month he replies back with a thread saying I scammed him? To me this guy is trying to pull a fast one on me. He told me he would send the head back and I was going to give him back his money but yet he told me he was going to keep some parts I sent him? It doesnt make any sense. I've waited for the head and its still not here. Like I said before, I dont scam anyone and I'm clearing up my name here. I know some of you guys that did business with me before and also met me at honda-tech meets. My vouchs explain it all. I'm a solid seller and this guys trying to play games with me. Mods please delete this post.

I told you those bumper lights were cracked before I sent them.

I told you that I'd send you the head if you'd give me back my money, you didn't respond, so I ddint' send back the head. Are you ready to make that deal?

For the record, I said I'd keep the headgasket, and give you $75 for it(so ship you the head back for you returning $300).

YOu put cam caps that don't belong to that head in there? Um, cam caps are line-drilled to the head, and aren't supposed to be replaced.

I have it sitting exactly next to my stock LS head. I've cehcked. the ports are stock, the combustion chambers are stock, there is carbon in the ports, with spray paint to look like clean bare aluminum. The entire head is covered in blasting beads.

Everything I've seen says you do come through for people, and are a good seller, so thats why I posted this. I emailed you at home with pics, no reponse. I called dh-racings, they ABSOLUTELY DO NOT ship a head in this condition.

If you are a quality guy, then let me know where to ship the head to. If you want, send me back the $375 minus your shipping costs before. That way, this whole episode costs you nothing, you get some free lights(even if they are cracked, as I explained they were before shipping them).

I'm out shipping costs x 2, but its better than nothing. I'll even repackage stuff so they won't get further danamged.

I'll post the pictures tonight, then everyone can see what I'm talking about.

Those intake ports are the same on both heads. I.E. NOT PORTED.

Now, here's the exhaust ports on the head Alex sent me:

NOT PORTED.Not only that, they have carbon buildup(the one on the right is pretty bad), that has been SPRAY-PAINTED over to look like polished metal. If you run you finger in the port, it comes out black. Alex said this head had never been run. If you look at the middle port, you can see where the spray-paint is flaking off the carbon.

And today, I find you they don't even belong to this head?!?! And you were being nice to include them?!!!

Look, this was sold to me as a Ported and Polished head by DH-Racing. Never used, complete.

All there parts were there, but the caps for the camshafts are in poor condition, and aren't from this head. He did, just liek he said, include a head gasket, and a valve cover, and camshafts. I told that if he wanted, I'd buy the head-gasket off him for $75, and return the rest, or return all of it, his choice.

Just that its not ported. It looks like new valves, but not ported. It also is completely full of blasting beads, and needs to be stripped down and cleaned otherwise you might gets beads in the valves or oil and damage the motor. You can see the condition here:

All I'm asking is to return my money and I'll return the head. This is most defiantely not the ported head you advertised it to be. I don't know why, maybe DH-racing shipped you a half-finished head. Dunno. One of their ported heads looks like this:

The head in this pic is not ported, it is completely stock, you can even see the original casting under the paint.

Where are the original pics from Panda Ek's post ? I think that'll clear somethings up.

 

If what you are saying is true, how did you not catch it in the first place? I appreciate the detail of your pictures, but you may want to take pictures that more closely approximate what was shown to you, to show the peanut gallery how it was you were fooled.

No offense is intended, but it's much easier to believe in someone who has a good reputation and has been a member for nearly 2 years than someone who has been a member for 2 months.

Does a head have any serial number stamped on it or other numerical notation? It's likely any such number would be recorded by DH-racing when they supposedly did the pnp job.

 

This guys says hes not trying to ruin my reputation but yet he goes on my recent posts to reply negatively to my threads? Hes saying hes just trying to make things right and no ruin my reputation? I sold him a PnP head and those arent even the same pics I took. Yes, I made a mistake on giving him the caps and bolts and yes I made a mistake to delete the pictures a long time ago but I had no use for them considering the fact that this guy complains over a month later. He should've been responsible to save my pics. He had over a months period to save them.
Hes the deal haggar, I will give you your full refund if you send everything back (I mean everything includiing the headgasket). Dont even think about trying to keep anything I sent you. If something is missing or I find that you damaged the head I'm going to reship back everything and I'm not going to give you a refund. I dont care what you say about me anymore because I know what I sent you and I was generous enough to send you extra stuff. You took so long to reply and inspect that head that you could've done anything to it. The day I recieve the head back I will inspect the contents and if everything is there and nothing is damaged I will be either sending a check or paypal the money back to your account but like I said, if something has been done to the head and/or anything is missing that you kept, sold, or gave away you shouldnt bother wasting your time and my time shipping the head back. You should keep it and shut your mouth about this situation because then it was all on you. I've never delt with anyone so two faced and a person who goes out of his way to post negative threads on my recent posts. And I explained why I couldnt reply to e-mails or posts. But that still doesnt change the fact that you had 2 weeks to contact me and let me know before I left. Nuff said, I will be waiting for the package.

i agree, has anyone ever seen the p&p head that panda ek sold... before he shipped it?

 

i was looking to buy the head form panda when he was selling but i ran into soem problems so i couldnt afford the head at the time. the pics panda has were a lot better then haggar's. to me they dont look the same at all.

yea me too, i saw the head in the thread where i bought 96-98 foglights off alex, its not the same head!
