Anyone here running straight 3 inch to a dynomax muffler?
My system is pretty much straight through. I do have a cat right now since the car is not yet boosted. I'm using a Magnaflow muffler and resonator and the setup is amazingly quiet.

dynomax ultra flo welded rules, i ran it all 3"with just teh muffler, and it was pretty quiet, now i went side exhaust with dyno max bullet and much louder, 2
for the ultra flo tho for stealthiness regardless if its a VW i got , still did good

my 3in dynomax setup has a 3in cat and 3in resonator, so I don't know if my opinion is what you're looking for.
I havent' heard it from outside the car, but it doesn't scream, I am starting to notice it's a littl drone-ish at 3k ~80mph cruising. But I don't have a radio in it yet, either... so that maybe part of it.

A buddy of mine has 3 inch all the way, no cat, with a dynomax 50 series muffler. It is very quiet and sounds deep and throaty. Sounds really good.
i have 3" with no cat or resonator just a dynomax bullet muf to loud. so i ordered a 3" dynomax center/offset 14" long case turbo muffler and the diameter on the inside of the 3" is only 2.5" what gives? anybody else notice this if so did it hurt preformance. should i go with a flowmaster 50 series delta instead?

called jegs for the second time and had a guy tell me that it says in the dynomax catalog the 16"long case has 3" flow tubes
and the 14" has 2.5"
