Quiet Oval Muffler???
Hey guys just got a ticket for my exhaust system and am no looking for a quite oval muffler that flows well. It need to have a 2.25 inlet and outlet. Ive heard alot about the ES oval but i hear that its loud. So if any of you know of a quiet oval muffler that flows better then stock please let me know

Just FYI, I have the Magnaflow Oval muffler and it's good, but a little loud. So you might want to stay away from that if you're looking for something quiet.

The muffler doesn't determine the noise level, the entire exhaust system does. If you run a resonator with an ES or Magnaflow oval style muffler, it can be extremely quiet. The larger the resonator, the less raspy the exhaust.

Well, I have a turbo, 18" resonator, and a magnaflow oval and it's still loud. I also had an CTR cat. on this system before, and was still a little loud. On the highway, I have to turn up the stereo.

Then you'd probably be better off with a stock exhaust system. If you want a straight through, free flowing exhaust, you have to expect more noise, common sense.

Oh, I wasn't complaining. I actually don't mind. I was just trying to let the poster know that the Magnaflow isn't exactly quiet.
