Default question on what set up would be faster?

ok...witch one would be faster. a built block d16y8 and the head would be stock. but would have some sort of boost head gasket. and yes both of these motors would have proper fuel and such. and the other motor is a ls vtec with a stock head gasket. and stock internals.

on the d16y8 i would boost 25 pounds at the track. and around 14 pounds on the ls vtec unless i can go higher. this will be going in a EF.

25lbs of boost on the d would be faster. For about ten seconds.

id say the 25psi civic motor, but i dont see it living very long.

id prefer to build the LS motor and turbo it. not a fan of d series motors.

allright, but the d-series will be able to handal it. it wont be on 25psi everyday. just on the track.
