I have these pair of coilovers and the manual said the spring rates in front are 450 and the rear is 350.

Heres my question, how do you know what is good and what is bad?
Does the higher the number mean good ? or does it mean bad?

Can someone please explain spring rates and stiffness for me. Thanks

 

Honestly, i would do a search, i didn't know **** about suspensions and stuff until i took the time to SEARCH and READ.

Type in "rates" in the search bar, under archived, and start reading, there is no one way to tune a suspension.

So you might as well read on what everybody else is doing to find an ideal setup of your own, sorry i couldn't have answered your question directly, b/c there is no direct answer to your question.
