ECU Problems! PLS HELP!
I'm posting this for a friend...
He has a JDM Civic Vti Hatchback... 1999... (B16A2)
He recently bought a Skunk2 p28 ECU and the harness.... When he connected it to his car, V-Tec doesn't kick in, and the car runs like ****. He says he gets a check engine light "cel code 21" ... When he checks from his Apex-I Vafc there is no V-Tec signal....
And when the car is idling.. it goes up and down between 1500-2000 rpms for 5-10 times then it stops... and then if he gives it a little gas and lets go of the gas it does it again...
Any ideas what might cause the problem?
Is there any differences between the JDM Civics wiring harnesses and the USDM ones?
