Garett GT28-R Turbo Q's
I am building a custom kit for my car and I am wondering how this turbo will perform? I have a 95 si hatch with a gsr motor and I am looking to run stock motor, hondata, and try to get around 280-300hp to the wheel will this turbo be a good choice? I was told that a T25 would be good but the T28-r has the ball bearing which will spool faster Right?
Here are some specs Dual Ball Bearing GT28-R Turbo assembly with internal wastegate assembly. .64 A/R turbine with 5 bolt exit
The specs for the T3/T40e-.63 a/r turbine housing with a stg3 wheel
.60 a/r compressor housing with a 60 trim wheel

t25 on a b18c1 = shitty
t28 on a b18c1 = so so
kind of makes you wonder why greddy doesn't use a t28 on their turbo kits for b18c1's but an 18g instead....
280-300 to the wheels can be done with almost any t3/t4 combo with mild boost. The gt series is great if you got the money to blow, > $1000, but if you don't have a built motor you will never be able to use its full potential anyways. Stick with the t3/t4e 54 trim .63 ar and you'll hit your goal with around 10 psi easily with little to no lag and only spend around 650 for it max.

There is alot of misinformation concerning T25/T28 turbos on this/all boards. It will be VERY difficult to achieve 280+ WHP on a .64 a/r T25 turbine. A T28 is a hybrid T25 turbine housing, turbine, CHRA, mated to a T3+ Compressor housing/wheel. I have a very large T28, from a Pulsar Gti-R, and speaking from experience, reccommend that you go with a T3/T4 setup. So much easier. On a T25 setup you will have to track down alot of rare parts, fab alot of stuff, headaches up the wazoo... But if you decide to go this route (T28), I'd reccommend a .86 a/r T25 turbine housing. If you really want to use a T28 get one of the HKS GT28 series turbos. A GT2835R can get 300+ hp but you'll have to boost .9~1.0 bar. GT28's use HKS T04E compressors mated to an HKS T25 exhaust side.
T4/T3 is more cost effective and leaves more room for upgrades.
