Default for those of you that have adjusted ur tps yourself..

How exactly am I supposed to get the voltometer wires in contact with the yel/wht and grn/wht wires? Im assuming the tps needs to be adjusted while the tps plug is connected.

Hook the (-) from the voltmeter to any ground.
Stick a pin into the wire signal wire on the tps, and get your reading from that.
I beleive its the white wire? someone prolly remembers which one.

I've seen and pretty much studied those two pages. My question is how am I supposed to get access to bare wires that I can use to measure the voltage. That 2nd page says to use a "test harness" if Im not mistaken. I dont have one of those.

expose the wires from the wiring harness end (female plug) and use some extra wire to attach the voltmeter probes to them and then when you are done, sauter them back and put heatshrink around it.

Damn, is that what everyone does? Cut the wires and then re-solder them?

if you have some thin sharp-tipped probes or really thin single strand wire you can insert it between the rubbergasket and the wire itself then test them. Also on the ECU side if you take the white plastic clip out you can test with a multi meter probe on the outside of the wires and it wont hurt anything if use common sense of course. I never splice into the wires, you can always find away around that one I think

Or like someone already mentioned, use some sewing pins, and poke them through the wire, then clip your test leads onto the pins.

How about a T pin shoved into the middle wire (red/blue wire). I usaully probe the wire with my volmeter lead.

not all cars have them. It is/was on the throttle body in 88-91 SI. Sorry for the bad pic but first one could steal from e-bay
Its the bottom of the throttle body likes like a Rx-7 rotor mmmmmmmm rotor opps sorry. Its rounded triangle has a bar that runs to the throttle mechanicinism

Maybe I got lucky, but I adjusted the tps and started up the car, and no CEL but the ecu was still throwing a code 7. I reset the ecu and no more code, I was ****** happy... finally got rid of the problem.

Then i tried to rev it, it'll sit there and hesitate for a second and then it'll rev up. This only happens when I slam the gas and have it at WOT. When I gradually rev it goes smooth. Whats my problem?

EDIT: I see I'll have to make a new thread about this... maybe I should name it "CRX BABES HAVING SEX!".. might get a couple more responses.

I was joking too and when i read what you wrote I was so incredibly pissed.. bad bad words were running thru my head, so I just decided to be sarcastic instead of cussing u out and possibly getting banned for it or something.

Have you check the timing belt to make sure it's in time? or the distributor timing? these should be checked just to make before anything.
