where should i put the probes while measuring tps voltage, i tried to probe the socket where the 3 wires came out but i think it's sealed. i tried unplugging the socket but i couldn't see the leads of the tps. you know how they position the tps. how did you guys do it?

 

you gotta get long skinny probes to stick up the back side of the plug (where the wires go into the plug).

Just use a couple of shirt pins (needles) and push them into the connectors. The tricky part is knowing when they're in far enough and making a good connetion. BTW, for the TPS, you only need to tap the center wire. Use the chassis ground for the other connection.

 

i think it should read about 0.5 Volts closed and 4.5 Volts fully opened, you could also try paper clips, that worked for me
