Why does this happen?
I got my R a couple of weeks ago and it comes with new falken azenis. The problem is when I['m on the gas on 1st or 2nd gear, the car would steer to the right or left. But this doesnt happen unless I'm at WOT. Is it because of the tires?

Hold the wheel tighter.
I assume these are 205/50/15 Azenis - on the stock ITR wheels, you will get some slop. Try upgrading to a 7" wheel, Kosei K-1s are a popular choice.

Yep, I would also say torque steer. I have the same situation. Its not a problem really if you are going straight with the right tire pressure and a properly aligned car.
ITRs will do that alot when at WOT and switching lanes, I hold the wheel with both hands and she performs like a dream, one hand it feels like the car wants to go all over the road.

There is no such thing as torque steer on an Integra, the shafts are equal length. Check tire pressure, then alignment if the former is okay.
Interestingly, I thought my old Kumhos were a lot more prone to following ruts and grooves than the Azenis

Well, it is torque steer. And the reason why it wants to almost pull out of you hands when not holding it really tight is because of the LSD. Type-R's are equipped with the LSD stock, so when it transferes the power to one wheel from both wheels it will PULL suddenlly and very hard to one side. Try accelerating over railroad tracks
Oh yah!!!! Lot's of fun there....
Hope this helps.

If it was torque steer, it would only pull to one side.
What is happening to you is normal. You could try getting an alignment to see if it helps, but I doubt it.

That`s what I was thinking.... He sais "to the left OR the right"...
Try other tires (wheelset of a friend or so) and see if it`s the same... The way you described the pulling reminds me of the cold season, when I put on winter tires... It gets difficult to stay on the street in 3rd/8k+ at WOT.
Once the cp035 are on, the "steer" is gone.
