Default torque steer?

i have a 5th gen accord that's moderately modified (mostly engine). my wheels have been recently aligned and balanced and my tire pressures are good. the suspension is stock (but will be modified soon).

whenever the revs are 3500+ the steering seems to pull to the side (i can't remember if it's left or right).

is this just a case of torque steer or could there be a problem with something else (ie. steering, tranny)?

if it is torque steer, is there anything i can do to correct it (aside from driving like granny)?
