may buy ITR radio off member but he lost radio code, can i get it from dealer?

i might buy an itr cd player from another member here, he bought it off ebay, used it for a month,then bought a mp3 player. he deleted the email w/ the radio code, can i get the code from the dealer?

yes you can get it from the dealer. Just give them the serial number on the back of the radio unit.

dealer gives it out for free
but once you lose that card
its forver gone
u can't get the card

If it's a dealer that cares about their integrity, they won't give the number to you without proof of ownership. That's what happened when I lost my code.

good point, but im sure not everyone that comes in w/ an oem radio steals it or bought it hot, plus theres countless others who sell their cars, code gets lost,etc.... the possibilities are endless......

If he is the owner.. then why doesn't he just call up the dealership and get that number for you before you complete the deal?!

it's not that hard and he should have done that in the first place.....

my battery died, therefor the radio got reset. i didn't want to take the radio out to get the serial#. so went to the dealership and gave them my ownership and some ID. they gave me the code. took 30 seconds. no fee.
