What is your Idle RPMs
Mine starts at 1500 and drops to around 600-700. Is that normal? I just got my first car and what to make sure everything is working fine.
Also when it drops down to 600-700 I get a lot more vibrations then I do when im at 1500.

I normally set the idle to ~750-850, anywhere within that band should be cool... If you want to adjust the idle and need to know how... (all you gotta do is turn the little slothead screw on the TB counter clockwise a bit)
As for this, I have no idea what a secondary idle is... hehe There is a FITV on most motors either mounted directly to the bottom side of the TB or on a lot of the older nonOBD motors directly to the intake manifold under the TB... It just works by bypassing air past the TB when the coolant is cold making the car idle a bit higher (~1500rpm), when the coolant warms up the valve closes which brings you back down to your normal idle... I don't really see any problem when where your idle is at now but I just like to have it somewhere within that band i stated above^^... I would 600 to be a bit low but there is no problem with 700-850rpm... If you want to and you need more help because i did a shitty job explaining let me know.. Peace

It's just the idle set screw, if i can later i'll take a pic but if someone else comes across this post before i do again with a pic i'm sure they'll put it up... It's the little screw located directly above where you intake bolts to your TB and all you have to do is turn it counter clockwise a bit... It will be mounted not directly dead center above the intake but a little closer to the firewall, get on the passenger side of your car and look at the TB..... Geeez i suck at explaining this **** but it really is very very easy when you actually know where it is.. haha Also at lower rpm it is expected that your motor will vibrate a bit more.. Motor vibration generates resonance easier at lower rpm which is why you feel more... Anyways if you need those pics still i'll find you some... Peace

Also I should have asked this in the first place, what car/motor??? I hope that we're talkin about a like B series motor or an SOHC that's not from the old CRX DX or a 96+ DX because i'm not even sure if they have an idle adjuster screw and everything that I would have been telling you so far is wrong.. hahahaha Here's a pic that i just took from C-Speed and modified.. hehe Thanks C-Speed.. but yea it's pretty self explanitory.... the z6 can be something highly powered if you want to keep it, 1300 bucks not spent on a b series, could be spent on some ctr pistons a cam, upgraded intake mani and possibly exhaust. Anyway to answer your question 1500 then it goes down to 600, its a bit low (my car almost stalls when i turn on the lights when the engine is idling) but i believe the spec is 750 +- 50 rpm
my old 90 teg RS wit a b18a1 with Extrude Hone IM, JG OB TB, port matched, Timing at 18, ELT custum chip, wrapped Iceman CAI, Neuspeed header to custum 2.25inch downpipe, test pipe, RC Engineering balanced and blueprinted injectors.
cold start=2000RPM
warmed up=900 -1100 RPM
cold start=2000RPM
warmed up=900 -1100 RPM

What is your Idle RPMs before and after your car is warmed up?
no coolant to the TB and the IVAC and my car "idles" at around 50-150 RPMs, that is, it shudders and dies at those RPMs if i don't blip the throttle all the time.
you'd be surprised how many take that as a challenge to race at a red light... sport cars, vans, utility trucks...
i guess i should raise it a tad.
BUT, i get no detonation anymore with a cooler intake charge.
