turbo or tranny?
im still trying to figures out what i wanna do to my auto four dore teg. right now i want to go big. so i need a new tanny and i also wnt to go turbo. what do u think i should do. go turbo or get a new tranny? if you think i should get a new tranny. should i get a LS GSR RS ITR. thanx for the help
if your going to go turbo, get an ls tranny cause the gears are longer and will help the turbo to spool longer, but with the new tranny you will probalby need a better clutch in teh car also to help hold the added power. itr is always nice with a lsd in it, but if you wanna boost it, then i'd say go ls. if you don't wanna boost, then go with another tranny with smaller gears
why do people keep saying this "keep the ls tranny for boost" theory. thats the dumbest thing ive heard. you want to be in each gear as littles as possible, not "spooling longer"

ya i was thinkin last night about this and i wanna race my car and i thought that u wanted to get through the gears faster too. but i dont really know as much as all of you do. i will probly go with the gsr if i can find on inless some one eles has a good reason not to. thanx alot for the comments
get the tranny if you need it , no sence in getting boost if you cant run the car right

my tranny is great with Fi and i got prob the shortest gearing in here
thik about it the vtec trannys are shorter gearing to keep the engine in vtec egears. . . why wouldnt it keep it in boost between gears?
with longer gearing you will lose boost between gears if anything ,

some people will never learn....longer gears = longer to accelerate.

ya that helps alot with my choices
i dont like the ls tranny the gears are to long i was just out driving and i steped on it. it took like 10sec to get out of first. lol i looked into getten a new car "gsr" and there sellen for like 8g's and for that money i would rather get a 300zxTT. i still luv acura dont get me wrong. also my car has a salvage titel so i cant sell it for dirt. i mean who would want to buy a 4 dore auto LS? the only thing that is semi impressive about my car is my stero.
