Define safe. If you have to ask....
What's any different than boosting any other H-series engine?
Do some real research in the Forced Induction forum.

H2B + ITR tranny = good
H2B + LS tranny + boost = better tho!

turbo h2b car here 7.8@89mph with b16 tranny, switched to ls tranny 8.5 @89MPH. had to run 93 mph to run 7.8 with the ls tranny. DO NOT RUN A LS TRANNY.
I go to the track alot.

I didn't know that the theory of staying in boost longer with the ls tranny was still plaguing this forum LOL

i fell victim to this theory. i have a gsr tranny in the car now. going to the track next saturday with 400whp will see what happens. i did manage a 1/8th 7.6 @ 98 mph with a ls tranny and 23" slicks. 3rd gear kills you at the track you fall out of boost. with 24.5 slicks you can run 110 mph @ 8000 rpms but you got to have alot of power to make that happen fast.

also if you have problems with traction on a b16 or gsr tranny get a bigger tire.

the theory part and plaguing the forum, if you are a drag car obviously u want the shorter gears, are ppl trying to say ls is better because the gears are longer? just trying to understand why u guys are all like "here we go again" type thing is all.

Not really at all. Less acceleration.. Fell for the "LS Tranny keeps you in boost longer mess, eh?
