Alright guys this post is here cause it is so funny and I knew all of you would love it. A guy comes up to me today and says that since I do alot of swaps that he wants me to do his. I'm like ok no prob. He tells me he has a gsr with like 140k on it and he is buying a complete swap from HMO and I am thinking why but just listen right now. Then he ask we what I want to install it and I say well why dont you just give me your old motor, trans, ecu? Hes like no way man you will do it for free if I just give you my old stuff. I'm like yeah no prob. So I get a call later and he says that the swap is ordered I'm like YEAH. So now I have a gsr swap as a spare just for doing a swap. What a deal huh? I am excited cause now I have a spare motor and tranny.

 

God, this guy must be a tard, I could do that swap blind folded. Cool, for you though, what engine is he getting anyway?

 

he is just getting another gsr. Stock motor it dosent get much easier then that

good deal...i like having my friend nate help me he's REAL cheap cause as long as theres plenty of beer and maybe a little bit of food he'll work. but if i were you and you had the money then i would build the **** out of that gsr motor and find something decent to drop it in to (i live in an ideal world where hondas are always fast and parts and money fall from the sky)

 

I already have a fullt built 84mm Darton sleeved monster in the garage. I am just awaiting my clutch line kit, fuel filter and new hoses to come in then it's break in time. I am going to keep the trans for a spare. But I was thinking of building the spare motor for an all motor car and putting it in a 91 civic 4door that I am buying for a daily driver

 

i dont think ur qualified to do that swap travis. its goin to b a tough one. what yr was that motor??? im assuming 94-95. either way thats sweet.

rebuild that thing and throw it in that civic and try to come run with the NA big dog, lol.
