ok you guys.. i finally made up my mind...
i was planning on getting a full WW RS lip skirt kit, white paint job, c/f hood, jdm headlights, and rims... all of which were gonna cost me approximately $2500-$3000. i decided **** looks.. i'd rather go with power.. (this decision was followed by my realization that my car is slow)
now i need ur help.. i cant follow in the official turbo thread so i started this one... what exactly will i need to boost my h23a1 with no more than 6-7 psi and maybe more later? i have a completely stock engine, not built or anything... i have currently 115k miles on it and it is in PERFECT condition, previous owner babied car (was first owner). please gimme a listing of what i'll need exactly (i.e: actual turbo, fmic, manifold, bov, EVERYTHING) and how much each will cost approximately... gude i kno u can answer all these questions off the top of ur head so i'm counting on u and a few other boost freaks in here... i am very determined to be boosted by february...

here is what i have.... t3/t4 turbo (turbonetics), deltagate wastegate, greddy bov, apexi intercooler with all piping in silver, custom manifold with downpipe and greddy mid-pipe, lots of gauges:fuel,exhaust,big boost,a/f,oil all are autometer gauges, nology hot wires, fuel pump, turbo filter, hks turbo timer, blitz boost controller, rc 550 injectors. i think that all............... make me offer

-Rev hard manifold -475
-Rev Hard downpipe- 90 (piece of ****, just cause it doenst bend around oil pan)
-turbo- (you have options here but i reccomend t3/t4b for low boost t3/t4e for high boost) anywhere from 500-750ish..
-Wastegate-- tial recommend 220ish or deltagate 150ish
-Frount mount intercooler-spearco recommend -300-700 depending
-intercooler piping-- custom or get drag or fmax--300-700 depending on where u get it
-oil feed line- braided stainless--65ish
-oil return line-5 dollars
-pipe to braze into your oil pan (or u can get a braided stainless oil return kit for 99 dolars i reccomend this..
-Blow off valve--200ish
-check valves u can get shitty fish tank ones or missing link-get missing link for 70
-couplers and clamps-50ish
-angle couplers- no clue probably bout 30ish
-turbo gasket-8ish
-new exhaust mani gasket-20ish
-antisieze-4ish
-NGk BRK7E spark plugs-5.12
-I reccomend an igntion also.. if your not going with standalone get msd with Boost timing retard.--300ish

damn thanks boosted... i appreciate it.. yea sounds like a complete kit is good for me.. how much longer till the drag gen 4 becomes readily available?

the DRAG gen 4 for the H22 is out, so i would think that for the H23 shoudln't be too long, but, go with F-Max, DRAG stuff is garbage, IMO, one of my friends had a DRAG on his B16 swapped Civic, and some of the stuff was just plain garbage, like the downpipe, they don't even attempt to make a model specific one, i mean, this things don't even come close to fitting, and the missing link and FMU... WTF is that, F-Max come with a MF2, which is a piggyback system to control your fuel, only downside with that though is you have to add 2 additional injectors into the charge pipe just before the TB... to be honest, i would have gone with the F-Max kit myself over the GReddy, except for the fact that with my hood, i like the internal wastegate idea a lot better

The F-Max setup is pretty nice, only downside is the extra two injectors are in the intake duct, and if you push the boost too high it's possible the extra fuel won't enter all cylinders evenly, causing a lean situation in one or more and BOOM. We're currently running the kit @ 9 psi now and it's holding fine.. daily driven on stock internals for over 15,000+ now. But either way, any of the setups above would work good, but I'd also throw a B&M oil cooler into the mix. This will help out a lot, and you won't have to set your turbo timer to such a high time since the oil will already be cooling while you run. oh, and don't forget your guages! heh. Oil temp, boost, and A/F (maybe oil press if you want).. but it will help you out when you first get stuff going to monitor your setup to make sure you're not going overboard with the boost. Lastely, pay the $80 to get it dyno tuned!!! This is a MUST. if you don't, things will start to go wrong. Take it to a shop that's experienced with this stuff (Such as Kauffmann Motorsports if you're near Harrisburgh, PA, which is in southeast PA).
