EG Civic B16A Hunting IDLE and jerking. HELP PLEASE
So recently i changed out my IACV Hose that connects to the throttle bottle cuz it was old and short so it would mess with my idle. after i replaced it, it still does the weird hunting idle when i come to a stop it would almost shut off and come back up but it has shut off before. this is on a cold engine BTW when its full warmed up for like 20-30 min it stops doing it when i slow to a stop but on the way home i went over a speed bump lil hard and it did it again and the jerking when i accelerate stops also( when i keep a constant speed i feel it cut out maybe idk) . Ive been told theres a bubble in the coolant that would cause this which i havnt bled it yet but if theres any other problem it could be please lmk cuz this **** is actually annoying. ( btw im new to cars n stuff ).
Been awhile since I've looked at an OEM intake setup, but isn't the IACV supposed to plug into the intake manifold, not the throttle body? If it is on the throttle body, it would at least have to be after the throttle blade.
Bleeding any air that may be in the cooling system is a good idea. If the problem comes and goes, even when the car is warm, that could be part of the issue. Otherwise, "clean the IACV filter" is something you'll hear often, if you didn't do that when you replaced the hose or don't know when the last time is your IACV has been serviced it'd be worth looking at.
Make sure your idle has been properly set:

FITV could also cause issues on cold start but I'm a bit less familiar with that part, and I think one of the above things is more likely the cause.

yea i sprayed sum cleaner in the IACV but the hose connects to the throttle body i think it helps keep it like warm during the cold so it doesnt freeze or sumthing. but ill try to bleed see if that works if not ill come back. and I dont have a OEM intake its a aftermarket 1 its a Skunk pro series with the Skunk throttle body

There's two videos on YT both from good technicians, I'd watch both of these:
For Heaven's sake gang... those hoses have COOLANT running through them... NOT air !!! If a "hunting" or high idle comes and goes... it is likely a coolant bubble and will need to be bled out. If it is consistent, you will have to consider other issues. Remember that while the engine is warmed up and idling, you can place a finger over the holes in the front opening of the throttle body to isolate two potential trouble spots: The IACV and the FITV. If you cover the 10 O'clock hole and the idle comes down to normal or the hunting stops... then the IACV is the problem. If you cover the 8 O'clock hole and the idle comes down to normal or the hunting stops... then the FITV is your problem.
im going to bleed the system TMRW if that doesnt work ill try the hole thing but what HOLE are u talking about exactly if u got like a visual u could show. idk to much about cars just got into it.

Check your TPS calibration. Make sure it is not moving around due to the tps and/or its connector being loose.
The jerking tells me that the low end may be set too low... so when you are creeping along at very light throttle, the ecu keeps going in and out of idle control thinking that you are off throttle.

Remove the air intake tube from the throttle body and you will see the holes at the 8 and 10 O'clock positions inside the throttle body. You do know how to read a clock, right ? If you need a photo, it will likely be Sunday before I have time to post one.
kk ill try the hole thing i already bled the coolant and i feel like it got worse with the idle for sum reason. i took a vid when i went to go test drive a day later and its just weird. https://streamable.com/w8lt7m thats the link to the video
if im thinking of the right plug the TPS is pretty tight it aint moving at all the connector ill check for sure but heres a video of just trying to idle
Try the hole thing first... it is EASIER !!! LOL

and it was pretty dirty behind the gold plate thing i bought sum cleaner if that would also cause sumthing to **** up my car.

I seem to fix the problem. i cleaned the Throttle Body and i reset the ECU and its been idling fine with no dropping down and turning off so there that.
Nevermind I lied its still doing it. I didnt let it warm up all the way cuz it was hot asf out i started to drive it seemed fine until it started to slowly go down and almost shut off but the good news is that after driving and letting it warmup after it stopped doing it so that tells me it has sumthing to do with the coolant maybe. going to bleed that again and hopefully it fixes it.
