Hello guys, i have a weird idle problem, i have a 99-00Civic B16a original. My idle hunts.

I cleaned my iacv, and Checked for vac leaks.

I still have the problem. Please help me

What do you mean by hunts?

Is your idle loping? Too low, too high? Is it erratic? Is it a fast lope, slow lope?

Be specific, lol.

sometimes it jumps from like 500-1100rpm, for like a bit.
sometimes it goes as high at 1500.

sometimes it calms down and almost idles smooth.

Sounds like a malfunctioning IACv. Even after cleaning it, if it still does that, it needs to be replaced alltogather.

when i unplug the iacv with the car on, the car shuts off.

update, changed ivcv, it helped a bit, a piece of the gasket on the old iacv was missing.
part of the problem.

i still have the problem, now when i take off the VAC line from the Regulator, it surges like crazy, when i pinch the line, it idles fine. someone help me please

i have practically the exact same problem and i have no idea how to fix it.. and get this.. EVERYTIME i go down my hill in reverse like in nuetral or in gear with the clutch in.. my rpms surge up to like 1500-1700.....

Also, everytime i push my brake pedal sitting still, just idling.... my RPM's go up about 3-500 revs. strange.

hmmm.. i'm going to go do that RIGHT now. i'll let you know what happens.

had the same problems but i fixed mines, clean iacv, cleaned TB, new pcv valve, new fuel filter, clean and screwed back down the FITV. and adjusted the idle screw, and now everything works great but mines a d16z6 motor so a b16 im guessing is different. as for the stepping on brakes and idle going up a little is normal i believe, my car does the same, and so does the lexus at my house and every other car that i've tried.

you check all of the gaskets from TB to Intake then from Intake to head?

i cleaned injectors. same thing....
can it be my headgasket is blown?

changed IACV AND cleaned INJECTORS.

now it revs till like idle - 2500 when the car is hot.

when its cold. it wont idle for itself, i have to give it gas.

yo... brag a can of carb cleaner. spray around your tb and manifold if the car jumps in idle or anything werid its a bad gasket. just my 2 cents
