B16A in EG civic and I can't get it to idle under 3000rpm!
B16A in EG Civic and it idles at 3000 rpm for the first two minutes and then it just drops to 1000 rpm and goes right back up to 3000 rpm. Why is it doing this?

try replacing the IACV with one that you know is good. if that doesn't do anything, try swapping out your throttle body with another one or get a good MAP & TPS sensor. make sure ur TB isn't an automatic too. if you have an auto TB, bypass the coolant line going through the fast idle valve.

Will a bad ecu or fast idle thermo valve cause this idling problem too?
