hello everyone so i have a 2008 civic with 1.6 and a stock air cleaner. it runs great until we get a heavy rain then it misses and sounds like detonation in the muffler. i have checked the grounds and put on new coil packs also have checked the map sensor after rain no evidence of moisture . as soon as rain stops it runs fine again. Have not been able to duplicate the misfire with a spray bottle or water hose any ideas thank you

 

What country are you in that an 08 is a 1.6 liter?

As far as I know, USDM and CDM it's only 1.8 and 2.0 liter.
