Default map sensor + frost + cold = wtf

ive been having an extreme issue with my car over 2 weeks now, finally figured out it was the map sensor not reading and stuck at -25.xx and thats why the car wasnt starting in the cold.

so i decided to upgrade to a gm 3 bar instead of my motorolla 2.5bar, upon removal of the motorolla map i noticed that the nipple where the vac line hooks to was jammed with ice... wtf? the map sensor wasn't reading because of moisture getting into my vac line and freezing inside the sensor.

how do i prevent this? btw, the vac line is coming off a fast-turbo vac manifold... is that a bad idea instead of the intake???

im guessing that the vac manifold is getting condensation in it. then freezing over night.try to run the map sensor to a seperate dedicated port on the im

Also, the port on the map sensor should ALWAYS face down if possible..

already upgraded to a gm 3 bar, just don't want to install till i figure out this condensation stuff... im going to switch some vac lines around and run the sensor off the intake manifold instead of the vac manifold and move the sensor above the vac line so the condensation cant get to it.

its the little things that suck...

car is still not reading the map after i cleaned out the vac line, its stuck at 25.xx still, is there anything else that could be doing this?

or could there just still be ice inside the sensor plugging it up? and if that ice was in there would it short out the sensor?
