Just engine swapped my d16y7 with another one no start
Hey guys I just swapped my blown engine for another d16y7 anyway my clutch is in the floor there's no pressure my gears feel really tight when I shift it with the car off and also I can't get it to start all I gave me was a back fire that made me **** myself.... Any help would be much appreciated
Big reasons for not starting after swapping engine are thermostat ground wires not hooked up, or distributor shaft engaged 180 degrees out of time. Also double-check the cam timing and the firing order. Backfiring almost always means a timing issue.
Clutch probably just needs to be bled. On your next engine swap, unbolt the clutch slave cylinder and put it aside without disconnecting the line. Don't let anyone push the clutch pedal while the cylinder is off like that.
