Default wobbling distributor

I just re-installed my distributor and it's wobbling or shaking quite a bit, the cam holder that bolts up with the distrbutor was pretty hot to the touch, anybody know whats up?

No bumping in tech forums. These are slower that GDD. Can you post a picture? What is the distributor model number?

Sounds like the end cap or the cam could be damaged if it's actually bolted down tight.

Are you sure you seated the dizzy correctly and it's not 180 degrees out?

yep, i put the distributor on right, i torqued all the cam caps to spec. i'm pretty sure it's end cap next to the distributor- going to check that right now

I can see the wobble... it doesn't look like it's bolted on tight.

What's with the weird bolt with the double washer on the top? You sure you have the right hardware securing it on there. I don't think I've ever seen a dizzy bolt with a phillips (or JIS) head on it.

i wouldnt know, the car came like that
i'm still not too familiar withthe ed chassis yet

have you taken any steps to diagnose this?

like opening the cap?

checking the rotor?

checking if theres play in the shaft?

no, my main concerns was the bolts
will check though just in case

so i finally got around fixing this, it was the key on the distributor which was on the wrong way, so i flipped it 180 degrees and and then the wobbling went away
