Default Crank-no start

Hey guys. I have a 1993 del sol si D16z6. I webt to dinner and drove home. I went to leave a couple of hours later and my car wouldnt start. It would crank but not start. Ive replaced the dizzy, cap, and rotor button. New plugs and wires and main relay and still nothing. Im stumped as to what it could be. Any help would be appreciated.

Does the fuel pump prime?

Does the CEL remain on steady with key in ON(II)?

Ive had the car for 6-7 months and have never heard the fuel pump prime and the check engine light is on through all three ignition stages but the fuel pump wouldnt cause me not to get spark at the spark plugs

Did the replacement dizzy have a good coil and ignitor?

If you have a friend with a similar car swap out the dizzy and ECU from a known good running car.

Check the ground wire connection at the thermostat housing. This is the ground point for the ECU.

That'll do it, every time.

Crank, no start? At least it is cranking, so, there is hope.

You need spark, fuel, and compression (timing, air, no bent valves, proper firing and again, timings to combust said air/fuel mixture) to start the car.

If any of these are lacking then it will not start.

No fire = no spark = that will cause the car not only to not start, but stop running at any given point in time. Same for no fuel. Same for if your timing or valves go on you, somehow.

Everything in the dizzy is new. I bought a coil before replacing the dizzy.

Did you check for fuel when the car is cold? There is a nut that you can loosen that should spray fuel when the key is turned. Again, please make sure engine is COLD ..

If you can make it to :25, this video is specific Honda, and addresses this topic. (Main Relay, and fuel test.)

93-95 del sols are OBD 1 and the cel light flashes.

I think the 96-97 del sols are as you describe, the D4 light flashes (OBD 2? )

Can you try this?

Apologies on being deliberate, but, maybe you missed something...

If you have no codes, it will stay on.

*The video also suggests that your ECU itself could be damaged.

Post a picture of the service connector you are jumping to pull codes.
