Default ... something is just not right... any thought... please help

... did a compression test (might do another one just in case)... here are my numbers

1 : 180
2 : 178
3 : 185
4 : 185

... great numbers, right?... but my car is still not running right... here are some issues:

- burns oil (needs about 1/2 a quart a week)
- burns coolant (need to refill overflow reservoir every 1-2 weeks) (can sometimes smell in car)
- white smoke from exhaust (sometimes, but not always, but esp. at wot)
- blue smoke from exhaust (sometimes, but not always)
- light smoke from under the hood (sometimes)
- sometimes hard to keep idle without stalling (stopped happening after going to the darkside)
- lower than expected performance (191whp/165tq, see sig for setup) (i was expecting 220-250whp)

... i have been told that i could be a couple of things... like a cracked headgasket (not blown or i would be overheating right away)... or worn o-ring... or worn valves... or cracked ring lands... or cracked sleeves...

... i have also been told a couple of possible quick/cheap fixes:

- clean out pcv valve
- remove air bubbles from cooling system
- get a new radiator cap (which one?)

... is there anything else i can do beside going all out and rebuilding the motor for crazy boost (dont think i have the $$$ for this, wish i did though)?

... thanks for taking the time to read... any help is really appreciated... thanks...

The numbers you posted (hp/tq) are not that bad for GSR motor @ 5psi

You might get better answers from a leakdown test. Hope you find it out.

I'd go for the leakdown test as well...That should point you in the right direction immediately

could be worn piston rings....do a wet compression test where you drop a teaspoon of oil into the cylinder...if it jumps over 30 psi in readings then ur piston rings are worn.

1/2 quart a week sounds like the rings.
